Biographies

Alexis Nigro (Team Leader/Blog Manager)

Alexis is a Mechanical Engineering student at Drexel University. She hopes to use her degree to engineer consumer products or to possibly use her engineering background in the entertainment industry. She grew up in Carteret, New Jersey. When she has down time, she likes to take advantage of everything the beautiful city of Philadelphia has to offer. Whether it's sitting in Rittenhouse square reading a book, going to a yoga class, or indulging in the local music scene, she loves to be out exploring and meeting new people.

Jake Pardue (Finance/Design Team)

Jake is a Biomedical Engineering student at Drexel University currently enrolled in both the Pennoni Honors College and the Accelerated Masters Degree program. He is currently a pharmacy technician and hopes to work in the field of pharmaceutical research and development in the future. Jake is from Norristown, Pennsylvania and enjoys sports such as boxing and soccer.

Veronica Mueller (Design Team)

Veronica is a freshman at Drexel University, majoring in Electrical Engineering. Both her parents graduated from Drexel, with her father receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering. At Drexel, She is a member of the FreshDance Ensemble, Pencils of Promise and Society of Women Engineers. In her spare time, she likes to attend different dance performances and master classes around the city. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and finding new places to eat.

Alexander Grimaldi (Main Programmer/Design Team)

Alexander is a freshman at Drexel University, majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. He is enrolled in Drexel's Honors program and will be doing Research with the STARS program in summer 2015. Raised in Washington DC, he graduated Saint Anselm's in 2014 and achieved Eagle Scout in 2013. He has some limited experience in programming and electronics. He dreams of someday making enough money to collect art or having a job so interesting that he forgets about the former dream. He will be graduating from Drexel in 2019.

Marco Lema (Design Team)

Marco is a freshman at Drexel University, majoring in Electrical Engineering. He hopes to use his experience to enter the robotics field. His father is an Electrical Engineer and inspires him to succeed. He is a member of IEEE and the Manhattan College La Salle Honor Society. Marco is from New York and enjoys skateboarding, video editing, and listening to music in his spare time.
